City council clerk was excellent public servant
Here are my personal comments in regards to the Janet Hieronimus article regarding her retirement from the position as Clerk of Ironton City Council.
Any elected member of council from 1982 to the present will agree on this without political controversy: Janet will be missed!
I was elected to council in November 1995 and served until October 2005. During that time I and most council members depended on Janet every month to keep things moving. She possessed a positive attitude and great work ethic in keeping our government body functioning. I don’t know what second best is, but I know it is a long way from what Janet Hieronimus brought to council as she was number one
So when you see Janet let her know how much she is appreciated for work and her time spent helping the City of Ironton. She is an unsung hero of city government.
I wish her well and hopefully she knows how much I miss and love working with her. She truly is one of a kind.
