Drug cases dominated the most recent session of the Lawrence County Grand Jury. Of 27 people indicted last week, 14 were indicted on drug charges.

According to information from the office of Lawrence County Prosecutor J.B. Collier Jr., those indicted were:

— Stacey Jenkins, 287 County Road 5, Kitts Hill, trafficking in drugs.

— Robert Blake, 8470 County Road 1, South Point, possession of heroin, identity fraud.

— Letitia Fox, 69 Township Road 1026, South Point, permitting drug abuse, and a codefendant,

— Robert D. Fox, 69 Township Road 1026, South Point, four counts of trafficking in crack cocaine, trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana, trafficking in powder cocaine, possession powder cocaine and possession of criminal tools.

— Melinda K. Weddington, Marmet, W.Va., failure to comply with the order and signal of a police officer, receiving stolen property, possession of crack cocaine.

— Jamie L. Mayhone, 119 Ashland Drive, South Point, complicity to trafficking in powder cocaine, trafficking in crack cocaine and two counts of complicity to trafficking in crack cocaine, and a codefendant,

— Joseph V. Stewart, 119 Ashland Drive, South Point, five counts of trafficking in crack cocaine and one count of trafficking in powder cocaine.

— Nancy K. Ballengee, Huntington, W.Va., complicity to aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence and trafficking in crack cocaine.

— William Pannell, 505 Township Road 1239, Proctorville, aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence, trafficking in crack cocaine, possession of powder cocaine, trafficking in powder cocaine and possession of criminal tools.

— James E. Kiser, 161 Township Road 1189, South Point, two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, two counts of trafficking in drugs and three counts of misdemeanor endangering children and his co-defendant,

— Stephanie Kiser, of 161 Township Road 1189, South Point, tampering with evidence, possession on crack cocaine, three counts of misdemeanor endangering children and misdemeanor possession of drugs.

— Richard L. Bridges, 2401 State Route 217, Kitts Hill, tampering with evidence and misdemeanor possession of drug abuse instruments.

— Samantha R. Horn, 134 Private Drive 53, Proctorville, trafficking in crack cocaine, trafficking in powder cocaine, trafficking in heroin, possession of crack cocaine, possession of powder cocaine, possession of heroin and possession of crimintal tools.

— Stanley Webb Jr., Groveport, aggravated possession of drugs.

In addition to the drug indictments, others were indicted on a variety of felonies and misdemeanors. They were:

— Mark Stunteback, 13 Private Drive 254, Ironton, burglary, misdemeanor domestic violence and misdemeanor criminal damaging.

— Eric Petersen, 309 Elizabeth St., Proctorville, re-indicted on 10 counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of rape. Petersen was indicted earlier this year but the two victims, two girls under the age of 13, have provided new information about the dates of the alleged activity.

— Steven Maynard, 409 County Road 411, Proctorville, abduction and aggravated menacing.

— Michael R. Arnold Jr., whose last known address was 110 Hillview Lane, South Point, theft.

— Michael D. Chatfield Jr., of 150 Daniels Drive, Hanging Rock, two counts of felony theft, two counts of misdemeanor theft and one count of tampering with evidence.

—Lorrie Gilmore, Huntington, W.Va., theft and tampering with evidence.

— Lillian Jackson, 707 Ashtabula St., Ironton, burglary, and a codefendant.

— Albert Hampton, 707 Ashtabula St., Ironton, burglary.

— Shannon Workman, Lovely, Ky., two counts of ethnic intimidation and one count of aggravated menacing.

Additionally, there were four secret indictments. The grand jury met Thursday and Friday of last week and examined 29 cases.

The grand jury returned no bills in two cases and indictments in 27 others.
