HANGING ROCK —William “Shady” Mays was ordained on the East Kentucky District in June of 2006. He has served assignments in Naples, Fla., Minford, Quincy, Ky., and Franklin Furnace. He is currently a Junior at Nazarene Bible College pursuing a degree in Pastoral Ministry.

Shady worked as a chef for 27 years and enjoys cooking and experimenting with new cuisines.

Patti graduated from Ohio University with a BSN in nursing. She serves as a Senior Community Health Nurse, Grief Counselor, and Healthy Start Consultant for the Greenup County Health Department.

Patti and Shady have been married for 20 years and reside in Slocum Station, Ohio with their grandson, Ellis. They are looking forward to serving the Hanging Rock Church of the Nazarene.

Rev. Mays’ first Sunday will be Aug. 2.
