EDWARD VULHOP

Edward Carl Vulhop, 80, of Ironton died Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky.
He was born Oct. 3, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio; the son of the late August and Eva Mullen Vulhop.
He is a U.S. Army veteran and a retired dairy clerk for Krogers.  He attended Hanging Rock Church of Christ in Christian Union and had lived in this area since 1952.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jean Murnahan Vulhop, who died Nov.21, 2001; two brothers, William Vulhop and Clarence Vulhop; three sisters, Genevieve Vulhop,  Dorothy Wilder and Catherine Gullett;  one granddaughter, Shelley Vulhop, one son-in-law: Charles Igo.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Jean Igo of Ironton; Brenda and Don Mannon of Kitts Hill; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Edward Carl and Iva Vulhop Jr of Proctorville, and Randy Joe and Toni Vulhop of Ironton; seven
grandchildren and eight great grand children.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Pat Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery with military rites by VFW Post 8850.
