Two juveniles arrested in South Point break-in
SOUTH POINT — Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with the July 3 break-in at The Food Basket convenience store in South Point.
The 16-year-old boys from the Burlington area were each charged with fifth-degree felony breaking and entering and were taken to the Dennis J. Boll Group and Shelter Home.
South Point Police Sgt. Lennis Abrams said access to the store was gained through a back wall in the store. Approximately $2,800 in merchandise was taken during the incident.
During the investigation, Abrams said authorities were able to determine the identity of the suspects; a South Point area citizen provided an anonymous tip that led police to the whereabouts of the two suspects.
