IRONTON – The entire city of Ironton was without water Tuesday night following an electrical failure within the city’s water system.

City officials say the electrical failure which closed Clear Well #2, happened at around 9:45 p.m. The Ironton Water Department is currently on the scene manually opening the well to refill the water tank.

It is unclear when water pressure will be restored.

When back online, the city has issued a boil advisory for residents using city water.
