BEREA — The Cleveland Browns signed free-agent wide receiver Edward Williams and waived receiver Syndric Steptoe.

Williams was on the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad last season and released on July 22 before joining the Browns on Monday.

Steptoe was taken by the Browns 234th overall in the 2007 draft. He had 19 catches for 182 yards last season.
