Making community shine takes everyone’s effort

Individuals often ask, “What can I do to make a difference?”

Each of us can go outside once a week and take a close look at our own property.

Has trash been blown into the yard along the curb or alley? Have weeds invaded the cracks in the sidewalk or along the street? Are tree branches covering signs or are they low enough to hit pedestrians as they walk by? Do shrubs need trimmed, etc.?

In a perfect world, we would all do this and Ironton would look immaculate and inviting to visitors and residents alike every day of the year.

We don’t live in this perfect world, but I know I can make a difference by looking at “my space” and getting out the gloves, tree loppers, weed killer, trash bag and sprucing things up again.

I hope you will join me, both business owners and residents. Together, we can make a difference!
