Vicki Dianne Jenkins, 52, of Ironton, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County, Ohio native was born Oct. 26, 1956, the daughter of the late Victor Wayne Willis and Vinnie Imogene Pauley Willis of Ironton.
Vicki was a 1974 graduate of Rock Hill High School and attended the Ohio University Southern branch. She was a homemaker and attended Hanging Rock Church of the Nazarene. She was also a volunteer for the Boy Scouts Troop 106 and performed with The Performing Arts Guild Theater Group, in Ashland, Ky.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, Wendell Jenkins of Ironton; a son, Zachary Taylor Jenkins of Ironton; two sisters, Kim Sue Hall (Michael) and Katherine Joy Willis, both of Ironton; a brother, Tim Randall Willis (Jami Lynn) of Coal Grove; a stepson, Jonathan Tyler Jenkins (Jenna Christine) of Westerville; two stepdaughters, Wendy Joelle Hill (Justin) of Stoutsville, and Kerry Janeen Gentry (Phillip)of Arlington, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rob Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
