The Kentucky State Parks have several fall events scheduled in the next few months including elk viewing tours in Eastern Kentucky, Civil War battle re-enactments at Perryville and Columbus-Belmont, Daniel Boone’s birthday commemoration at Fort Boonesborough, Halloween programs at campgrounds and many other recreational and living history programs.

Fall is also a great time to try one of the park system’s award-winning golf courses or to stay overnight at one of 17 resort parks in a lodge or cottage.

The parks are currently offering a $55-a-night lodge room coupon that is good Sunday through Thursday at resort parks. Visit the website for details. Some restrictions apply.
