PINE GROVE — Last week’s meeting of the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club met with Joyce Fields as hostess.

Following homemade refreshments, Fields paired the golf group for play and announced the golf events for the morning.

Club members received word from Midge Payne about her recent recovery and anticipating returning to the group.

It was also announced that the meeting scheduled Oct. 13 will be the annual potluck luncheon and guest day.

Following play and lunch, event winners were announced: Georgia Willis, Cecilia Woods and Jami Dyer.

The following week, Johnna Jones served as hostess and also served her homemade refreshments for the morning followed by golf pairings and announcing events and its winners. They were Fields, Betty Fraley and Joyce Lewis.

This Tuesday, Rose Auble will perform hostess duties. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Pine Grove clubhouse with golf following at 10.
