COAL GROVE — It was a great finish.

The Coal Grove Lady Hornets closed out the volleyball regular season with a strong performance as they swept the Sciotoville East Lady Tartans in straight sets.

Coal Grove finished the season with a 12-8 record as the Lady Hornets won 25-20, 25-6 and 25-13.

Kelli McMackin racked up 18 points to lead the Lady Hornets. Marissa Stevens had a double-double with 10 points and 10 kills.

Coal Grove will now host Oak Hill at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, in the Division III sectional tournament.
