JULIA WILLIAMS

Mrs. Julia Ann Williams, 86, of Ironton, passed away at Community Hospice Center in Ashland, Ky., on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009.
She was born July 1, 1923 in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late William and Clara Mae Rhoden Sands.
She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years being active in church camps at Camp Bountiful and she was a River Valley Ladies Auxiliary charter member.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, W.J. Williams Jr. whom she married on June 14, 1941; one brother, Charles Harrison Sands and three sisters, Clara Dailey, Pauline Beasley and Betty Maddy.
She is survived by one sister, Dot Collins of Ironton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Crabtree officiating. Internment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday the funeral home.
