Gue gives Union Township quality character traits

“I wanna be like my dad.” I’ve said these words since I was six. When I was just a little boy, Dad was my hero. He could do no wrong. I couldn’t get enough of him.
Dad was the hardest worker I’d ever seen. He went to work and then worked when he got home.
I guess that’s what fathers of four hungry, growing boys do.
He took great pride in doing the job correctly and thoroughly.
Dad served. He served in the Air Force, at church, coaching Little League, and by giving all of himself to my mom and us boys. He was the most selfless man I had ever encountered.
My dad loved intensely. He loved our Lord, this country, the community, and his family with great enthusiasm.
When he spoke of any of these passions, pride began to swell. These were the things he believed in fervently and unabashedly.
Each of these traits remain consistent in Dad’s life today. He embodies all that I want to be as an employee, public servant, husband, and dad.
I’m 32 now, and I wanna be like my dad.
Re-elect Rick Gue for Union Township Trustee on Nov. 3.
