NOLA SPURLOCK

PATRIOT — Nola H. “Cub” Spurlock, 74, of Patriot, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 27, 1935, in Cabell County, W.Va., son of the late Everett and Marie Call Spurlock. Cub was married to Goldie Juanita Bays Spurlock and she preceded him in death on Oct. 22, 1998. He was a retired welder’s helper and farmer.
Surviving him are three daughters, Juanita Spurlock of Patriot, Lenora Marie “Lynn” Saxon of Gallipolis, and Martha (Londell) Browning of Patriot; three sons, Haskell Ray “Doc” Spurlock of Patriot, Roger Allen Spurlock of Ohio and Jackie Joe Spurlock of Patriot; 16 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Julia Spurlock of Ironton, Eva Drummond of Coal Grove and Janet (John) Miller of Cadmus; and three brothers, Carl (Brenda) Spurlock of Marion, Bill (Maxine) Spurlock of Kitts Hill and Jerry (Janice) Spurlock of Ironton.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Emory, Donald and Justin Spurlock.
