RONALD LAMBERT

Ronald Keith Lambert, 73, of Ironton, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Nov. 8, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Jan. 19, 1936 in Russell, Ky., to the late Golden and Genevieve (Woods) Lambert. He was a member of the Moore Street Tabernacle Church in Ashland, Kentucky and retired from Caterpillar after more than 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lambert and Golden (Sonny) Lambert, Jr.; and one sister, Joann Runyon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan (Blankenship) Lambert; brother, Richard Lambert; two sisters: Bea Cremeans and Judy Cunningham. He is also survived by two sons and a daughter, Don (Sherri) Barker, Craig Barker, and Tracy (Mark) McClellan; six grandchildren: Stephanie Gearin, Meagan Pechner, Katlyn Barker, Shannon Barker, Mark McClellan, II and Erik McClellan; and one great-grandchild, Lillian M. McClellan.
A private service will be at Haverhill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 4324 13th Street Ashland, Kentucky 41101 in memory of Ronald.
