Ham radio Christmas dinner set for Nov. 23

RUSSELL, Ky. — The Southern Ohio Amateur Radio Association will have its annual Christmas Dinner and meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23.  It will be in the ‘E’ room of the Golden Corral, Russell, Ky.

spouse or friend are welcome, each person pays for their dinner.  After the dinner we will have some of our ham radio leaders speak.  

Every person attending is asked to bring at least one item for our prize drawings.  Near the end of the get-together we will draw tickets until all of the prizes are won.  

Usually each person wins at least three items to take home.  Please send names and calls of all attending, also any questions please send to Ken Massie, WN8F at wn8f@arrl.net

Songfest to benefit area child

WINDSOR TOWNSHIP — There will be a benefit song fest for Nevaeh Faith Hatfield at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Windsor Independent Methodist Church near Proctorville.

Nevaeh, the daughter of Rebecca Ann Martin and Jay Hatfield, was born with numerous medical problems and has undergone numerous surgeries and other medical procedures.

The lineup of singers includes the Conners Family, Eva Hughes and the Windsor Quartet. A love offering will be taken. Hot dogs will be for sale at 5 p.m.
