COAL GROVE — Dr. Doyle Jones, international evangelist, author and lecturer will be conducting services at the Trinity Assembly of God Church starting Nov. 29 through Dec. 2, 2009.
Jones, who has ministered to U.S. churches in more than 40 states, has also served as a missionary/evangelist to Latin America for 23 years while conducting church-planting crusades in Spanish speaking countries annually.
A 1966 graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, Jones received a Master of Divinity Degree from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Mo. He completed his Doctor of Ministry degree in 1993 from Oral Roberts University.
Jones served as Missions Director at SAGU for 14 years and while teaching in the classroom, he also mentored students in foreign countries in church-planting crusades.
He witnessed the violent revolutionary upheaval in Central and South America firsthand, having been taken out to shot by Marxist rebels. Jones credits God for deliverance from that situation.
Dr. Jones now travels extensively in the U.S. and abroad holding conferences, planting churches and teaching in bible schools and seminaries. Jones and his wife, Cherie, have two sons, Donovan and Nathan. Both are in the ministry.
