SOUTH POINT — Jacob “Big Jake” Thacker, 6, of South Point went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009 at home.
Jake was born Oct. 31, 2003 in Huntington, W.Va., the son of Jonathan and Stacey McSweeney Thacker. He was a member of Solida Missionary Baptist Church, attended A Time to Grow Daycare for four-and-a-half years and attended Early Childhood Center for one week.
Jake loved life and made an impression with every person that he came in contact with.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Wyatt Thacker; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Penny Thacker; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Patsy McSweeney and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, 313 Big Branch Rd. in Chesapeake. Pastor Aaron Childers will officiate. Burial will follow in the McSweeney Family Cemetery.
