Four members of city council sworn in

The meeting itself was short and sweet: At less than 20 minutes, it will be far shorter than most other Ironton City Council meetings in the future.
But to two new members of council, it will no doubt be the most memorable. Tuesday’s organizational meeting was also the swearing in ceremony for Dave Frazer and Beth Rist, both taking seats for the first time, as well as returning members Bob Cleary and Mike Lutz, all of whom were victorious in the November election.
Both Rist and Frazer professed some nervousness but said they were eager to get down to business. Rist said she most looked forward to “getting to know people, having the opportunity to make a change.”
Frazer said his first priority was to “help Ironton any way I can.” He said finances and economic development are two issues he is particularly keen to tackle.
