COAL GROVE — Coal Grove Village water customers will be out of water until Wednesday evening or Thursday morning, Debbie Fields, clerk-treasurer, said.
“We’re hoping everyone will have water late tonight but it’s possible it will be in the morning,” she said.
The village turned the water off Wednesday morning, though some customers have not had it since Tuesday night.
Dawson-Bryant schools were canceled Wednesday.
The problem was caused by a break in the water line that goes to the company’s tank. The line has been repaired and the village is waiting for the tank to fill before it turns on the water again.
When the water is turned on, a boil-water advisory will be in effect, most likely for a couple of days, Fields said.
“Our crew is working as hard and fast as they can to everyone’s water restored,” Fields said. “We apologize for any inconvenience but it was out of our control.”
