MALISSA SIZEMORE

Malissa B. Sizemore, 86, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Dec.18, 2009, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 26, 1923, the daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Rister Mosley. She was the widow of Orville C. Sizemore who passed away August 1963.
Mrs. Sizemore attended Decatur schools and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and attended several churches in the area.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Denny Lee Sizemore; a daughter Dolly Wolfe; six sisters, Anna Mae Russell, Betty Addis, Louise Stepp, Juanita Friend, Mary Aldridge and Jenny Gullett.
She is survived by six sons, Calvin and Linda Sizemore of Pedro, Ernie Sizemore of Kitts Hill, Harold and Mary Sizemore of New Highland, Ohio, Bob Sizemore of Ironton, Paul Sizemore of South Point and Phillip Sizemore of Ironton; Five daughters, Bonnie and Lawrence Burchett of Orient, Cindy and Keith Stevens of Ashland, Ky., Sandy Sizemore of Wheelersburg, Peggy and Don Hamilton of Ironton and Phyllis and Ronnie Spillman of Ironton; 29 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Furnace Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
