SCOTTOWN — Larry Dale Stoots Sr., 59, of Scottown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at Hospice of Huntington, in Huntington, W. Va.
The Goodwill, W.Va., native was born March 29, 1950, the son of Muriel Hart Stoots and the late Hurley Stoots.
He was a graduate of Symmes Valley High School.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Stoots and a sister, Judy Waddell.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sons, Larry Dale Stoots Jr., and Klayton Stoots both of Scottown and Maxwell Brown of Wurtland, Ky.; three daughters, Shyla Stoots of Grayson, Ky., Amanda Stoots of Scottown, and Carolyn Brown of Ironton; five grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Becky Stoots of Hollywood, Md., and a sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Mike Malone of Pedro.
