Roberta Laber, 80, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at her residence.
The Ironton native was born Nov. 12, 1929, the daughter of the late Harrison and Ruth F. Bowen Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Laber who passed away Feb. 19, 1993.
She attended Ironton Schools and was a retired cook for the Marting Hotel and The Elks and was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Lynn Wagner; five brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Sharp of Ironton; a son and daughter-in-law, Ernest M. and Mary Wagner of Ironton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Martha and Paul Willis of Ironton, Ann Kelly of Ironton, and Helen and Jerry Willis of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Margie Martin of Sandusky, N.Y.; a son-in-law, William Stapleton of Ironton; six grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Cremeans and Pastor John Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
