SOUTH POINT — Juanita Pearl Patterson Roberts, 85 of South Point went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010.
The Kitts Hill native was born May 31, 1924, the daughter of the late Stanley and Audrey Clay Patterson. She is also preceded in death by her husband Robert Ned Roberts whom she married Feb. 2, 1942.
Mrs. Roberts was a graduate of Kitts Hill High School and was a homemaker. Also, Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Arabia Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, John Patterson and Frank Patterson; two sisters, Dot Wilson and Nan Byers; and a grandson, Todd Boothe.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Hilda Jean Terry of South Point, and Penny J. and Jack Davis of Ironton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert K. Roberts of Ashland, Ky. and Phillip M. and Jean Roberts of Kitts Hill; four brothers, Clay Patterson and Dale Patterson both of Ironton, Lon Patterson of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Bill Patterson of Coal Grove; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Mamre Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
