Ralph Malone, 81, of Ironton, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at his residence.
The Waterloo native was born April 14, 1928 the son of the late Ruel Malone and Lucy Lamb Rawlins Malone.
He attended Waterloo schools. He retired in 1976 from the Dayton Malleable after 30 years as an oven tender. He was a member of the Russell Christian Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, Luther, Rulie, Donald, Virgil, Ray and Joe Malone and three sisters, Martha Davis, Erma Smith and Myrtle Malone.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Frances Parsons Malone whom he married Oct. 15, 1976; a daughter and son-in-law, Toni Jean and Frank Cellura of Grove City; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Diana Malone of Detroit, Mich.; a son, Larry Malone of Nickalosi, Italy; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Barbara Malone of Ironton; a son, Michael Malone of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Kathie Malone of Waterloo a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Michael Jay of Plant City, Fla.; a brother, Richard Malone of Ironton; a step-daughter, Barbara Mantle of Ironton; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be noon Wednesday at Russell Christian Church with Pastor Danny Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Slabfork Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home.
