The annual Cincinnati Reds winter caravan is heading back to the Tri-Sate area and will make a stop Thursday, Jan. 28, at the Huntington shopping mall in Barboursville, W.Va.
Fans will be able to meet Reds players, manager Dusty Baker, and other personnel from 5:30-to-8:30 p.m. as they sign autographs and answer questions.
Baker will be joined by shortstop Paul Janish, minor league shortstop Zack Cozart, former Reds’ star Eric Davis, and broadcasters Jeff Brantley and Jim Kelch.
Infielder Adam Rosales won’t be available for the Huntington stop. He will only be in Cincinnati and Lexington, Ky. Janish will make the Huntington stop and an earlier stop from 2:30-4:30 at the Charleston (W.Va.) Towne Center.
Also making the trip is mascot Rosie Red.
The Huntington stop is part of the Southern Tour. The Reds also have a Northern Tour that makes stops in Parkersburg, W.Va., Athens, Lima and Columbus. The Western Tour will visit Dayton, Oxford, Louisville, Ky., and Indiana cities Bloomington, Indianapolis and Muncie.
The Northern Tour has broadcasters Marty Brennaman and Chris Welch, assistant general manager Bob Miller, second baseman Brandon Phillips, minor league Player of the Year Chris Heisey, former Red Glenn Braggs and mascot Gapper.
The Western Tour has broadcaster outfielder Jay Bruce, Thom Brennaman, general manager Walt Jocketty,
Reds’ CEO Phil Castellini, No. 1 Reds’ hitting prospect Todd Frazier, Dayton manager Todd Benzinger and mascot Mr. Redleg.
All the stops are behind held Thursday through Sunday and are free to the public.
