ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP — The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of a body in a portable toilet near the old Rock Hill Middle School track on State Route 93 adjacent to the Lawrence County Juvenile Center.

At approximately 5:18 a.m. this morning, an employee of the Johnny On The Spot company notified the sheriff’s office that he had found a man’s body inside a portable toilet when he went to service the toilet.

Authorities said the body is that of a white male and it appears he had been in the toilet for a period of time.

Sheriff Jeff Lawless said there is no evidence of foul play. The name of the person was not released as of press time pending positive identification and notification of relatives.

The Lawrence County Coroner’s Office is also assisting in the investigation.
