Four times two equals three.

New math? No, just the right equation for the St. Joseph Flyers to pick up a 63-48 win over the South Gallia Rebels Friday.

The Flyers had four players in double figures as they got win No. 3 on the season in nine games.

St. Joseph’s Payton Blair scored 20 points to lead all scorers. Joseph “The Shoe” Unger had 14 points, T.J. Young scored 11 points and Tanner Riley netted 10.

South Gallia (1-7) was led by Dalton Matney with 10 points.

The game was tied 11-11 at the end of the first quarter. The Flyers managed to take a 25-22 halftime lead, but the Rebels rallied in the third quarter to tie the score at 41-41.

The Flyers’ defense limited South Gallia to just 7 points in the fourth quarter as they pulled away to the win.
