George William Hall, Sr. 62, of Ironton, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Lawrence County native was born Dec. 2, 1947, son of the late James David and Winona Chatfield Hall. He is survived by his wife, Alice Linda Jervis Hall.
Mr. Hall attended South Point schools, was a former gravedigger at Highland Memorial Gardens and formerly worked for the village of Coal Grove. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty L. Moore and Jean Bolden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, George William Hall and Wesley David Hall, both of Ironton; three daughters, Teresa Ann Brown of South Point, Winona Jane and Todd Martin of Ironton and Betty Jo Pierce, all of Coal Grove; a brother, Jimmy Hall of South Point; two sisters, Nancy Hern and Rosey Woods, both of Ironton; 17 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren
