PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Harold Eugene Hartley, 79, of Piscataway, formerly of Coal Grove, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at the Somerset Hospital in Piscataway.
He was born March 2, 1930, and was preceded in death by his parents, Shade and Minnie Hartley. He was a retired excavating contractor for many years.
He is survived by Evelyn Francis White Hartley, whom he married on Dec. 8, 1952; two children, Kim Hartley of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Joy Hartley of Piscataway; two grandchildren; six sisters, Rosella Haney of Coal Grove, Hazel Vanover of Ironton, Maxine Rauch of Marietta, Yvonne Wheeler of South Point, Garnet Worthington of Ironton and Carol Adkins of Coal Grove; and two brothers, Clifford Hartley of Millersburg and Bill Hartley of Ironton.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Coal Grove Church of the Nazarene by Pastor Clifford Hartley at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30.
