Lady Pointers breeze to 10th victory

PROCTORVILLE — The South Point Lady Pointers are still waiting for a challenge in the Ohio Valley Conference race.
The Lady Pointers rolled to their fifth lopsided conference win as they beat the Fairland Lady Dragons 78-39 Monday.
Jalynn Bradburn had a game-high 26 points to lead the Lady Pointers (10-1). Kayla Fletcher scored 17 points while Tinesha Taylor added 9 points and 9 rebounds and Ashley Goodall scored 10 points.
Keri Napier had 14 points and 6 rebounds for the Lady Dragons (2-10, 2-3).
“We played with no emotion. We’ve been playing with confidence but we didn’t do that tonight. We looked like we were back to square one,” said Fairland coach Jon Buchanan.
South Point bolted to a 23-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and built a 49-17 halftime cushion.
