ROME TOWNSHIP — State Route 7 is closed at the Lawrence County / Gallia County line following a rockslide Monday morning.

The incident happened between the 19.26 mile marker and the Gallia County line.

A dispatcher for Ohio State Highway Patrol said the rockslide was caused by the recent rains. The Ohio Department of Transportation is assessing the situation. State Route 218 is also flooded at the Lawrence County Gallia County line. It is unclear when the road will be reopen, Katrina Betts, of ODOT, said.
