HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Just when the Coal Grove Lady Hornets began to accelerate, they ran out of gas.

The Lady Hornets were making a run to start the fourth quarter only to have the offense dry up as they fell 61-47 to the Poca Lady Dots in the semifinals of the Huntington St. Joe Invitational small school division Wednesday.

“We got within three points and then we just couldn’t score. It’s hard to explain. I think we might have gotten a little tired on the big floor and not having as deep a bench as they did,” said Coal Grove coach Nick Miller.
