WHEELERSBURG — Lorrie Middleton Watson, 74, of Wheelersburg, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
The Lawrence County native was born Sept. 30, 1935, the daughter of the late Cecil and Mary Ellen McGlone Middleton. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Watson, whom she married June 21,1954.
Mrs. Watson graduated from Decatur Washington High School and she was a member at Bloom Free Will Baptist Church in South Webster. She retired from The Good Year Tire and Rubber Company in 1990 where she was a factory worker. She also was a member of the Ladies Sewing Circle at Bloom Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Middleton.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mark Blake of Wheelersburg; one sister, Louise Howard of South Webster; one brother, Ellwood Middleton of South Webster; one grandson, Rob and Patty Blake of Wheelersburg; one granddaughter, Kelly and Daniel Gleim of Wheelersburg; one great grandson, Elijah Blake of Wheelersburg.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bloom Free Will Baptist Church, State Rt. 140, South Webster, with the Rev. Kenny Klaiber and the Rev. Roger Lavender officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhorn Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home and one hour before the funeral service at the church.
