Elizabeth Jane Blagg, 85 of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Ky.
The Ironton native was born March 8, 1924 the daughter of the late Albert and Essie Wilson Ash. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Vallee W. Blagg who passed away March 24, 2005.
Mrs. Blagg was a 1943 graduate of Ironton High School and was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Ash and a niece, Jackie Coon.
She is survived by a sister Frances Morgan of Logan, W.Va., four nieces, Nancy Jane Craft and husband Bob of Logan, Cindy Odekirk and husband Mark of Cumming, Ga., Debra Kitchen of Ironton, and Brenda Pyles and husband John of Portsmouth; four nephews, Andy Hogsten and wife Joyce of Coal Grove, Richard Blagg and wife Bobbi of Columbus, John Blagg and Fred Blagg both of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister-in-law, Gloria Hogsten of Ironton; two cousins, Ralph Classing of Tennessee and Phyllis Akers of Ironton and several other great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Mark Holderby officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
