Thelma Deloris Brown Stewart Pauley, 72, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Haverhill native was born Feb. 28, 1937, the daughter of the late William Brown and Essie Daniels Brown Stewart.
Mrs. Pauley was a graduate of Green High School. She was a former nurse’s aide for Dalton Health Center and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, James Taylor Pauley and her step father, James Stewart.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryle Pauley of Ironton; a son, Marvin Pauley, Jr. of Ironton; a brother, James Lincoln Stewart II of Coal Grove; one grandchild, Joseph Conrad Pauley of Ironton; two nephews, Uriah Stewart and his wife Jessica of Ironton and Lincoln Stewart and several great nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be conducted at the convenience of the family in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. There will be no public visitation. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
