LUCASVILLE — Vernon Ray McKenzie, 67, of Lucasville, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at the SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.
The Lawrence County native was born Nov. 27, 1942, the son of the late John and Tisha Bowen McKenzie.
Mr. McKenzie attended Hanging Rock School and was a former employee with Allied Chemical Semet Solvay. He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Stapleton, Edith McKenzie, Pauline McKenzie, and Edna McKenzie and three brothers, Lee McKenzie, Freddy McKenzie, and Charles McKenzie.
He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Pauline McKenzie of Ironton and Paul and Sandy McKenzie of Marion; a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Charles Lambert of Kitts Hill.
