The basketball schedule is unpredictable as the weather.

Additional wintry weather has caused even more rescheduling of area high school basketball games.

The Ironton Fighting Tigers were scheduled to play at Portsmouth on Tuesday and host Jackson Wednesday. With Tuesday’s game snowed out, Ironton will play Jackson on Wednesday, or maybe Portsmouth.

Depending on the weather and travel conditions, Jackson will come to Ironton if possible on Wednesday. If not, Ironton will go to Portsmouth, if possible.

If the Jackson at Ironton game is played, the Ironton at Portsmouth game was supposed to be rescheduled for Feb. 15. However, Portsmouth is playing Marietta on the 15th forcing yet another rescheduling.

Also, there will not be a tripleheader on Wednesday if the game is played. Ironton’s freshmen are scheduled to play at 9 p.m. in the Frosh Ashland Invitational Tournament.
