VANCEBURG, Ky. — Freda Cooper, 82, of Vanceburg, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at a local health care center.
The Lewis County, Ky., native was born March 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Archie and Gladys Spriggs Cogan. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Cooper, who died July 20, 1990.
Mrs. Cooper was a graduate of Tollesboro High School in Kentucky and a former secretary for C.A. Rambacher and Co. for 15 years. She was also a member of Central Christian Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Cogan and Walter Cogan.
She is survived by a son, George Lee Cooper of Ironton, Ohio; a daughter, Kathy Cooper of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Nellie Henderson and Lula Corns, both of Vanceburg, and Lillian Fetters of Georgetown, Ohio.
