SOUTH POINT — Mary Catherine McFann, 83, of South Point, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, from Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
Mary was born March 3, 1926, in Covington, Ky. She was a 1945 graduate of Ironton High School and was a member of South Point United Methodist Church since 1966.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Pearly and Anna Thompson; her husband, Richard Eugene McFann; and her sister, Owedia Cleary.
She is survived by her son, Kevin McFann; her nephew, Michael Cleary; a special companion, Elba “Jr.” Eaves; her church family, and her special friends, the Chuck Conley family, Pete and Helen Boggs, Cecil Daniels, Mary Wise, and Douglas and Catherine Price.
Funeral services will be noon Monday at South Point United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Washburn officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point.
