PROCTORVILLE — Emmagene Stephens, 89, of Proctorville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at Heartland of Riverview.
She was born Dec. 19, 1920, in Athalia to the late Sart and Nellie Newman McComas. She was also preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Darrell Swann of Proctorville; one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Jeanne Stephens of Proctorville; one sister, Lucill Abbott of Proctorville; three grandchildren, Brian Simpson of Huntington, W.Va., Sabrina Simpson of Proctorville and Angie Sword of Columbus; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Lucinda United Baptist Church and attended Finley Methodist Church.
The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland of Riverview, Dr. David Apgar and Hospice for their great service given to her.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, by Pastor Shirley Ball. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
