Science fair helps students grow into involved citizens

The Rock Hill Middle School Science Department would like thank the individuals who took time out of their busy schedule to volunteer as judges to make this year’s science fair a success.

The science fair is a valuable learning tool for each participant. It is a real morale booster to know that there are people in the community who care enough to work with our students.

Their thoughtfulness has had a positive impact on our school. Winners at the Rock Hill Middle School Science Fair were: 1st place Seth Miller, 2nd place Arinn Gustin, 3rd place Justin Stevens, and 4th place Maddie Malone.

Twenty two students moved on to compete at the county science fair. Students placing at the county science fair were: 1st place 7th & 8th grade Christian Rudmann, 1st place 5th & 6th grade Shelby Dalton, and 2nd place 5th & 6th grade Seth Miller.

Five students will be representing Rock Hill Middle School at district competition at Shawnee University in March. Those students are Shelby Dalton, Seth Miller, MacKenzie Blankenship, Christian Rudmann and Justin Stevens.

Congratulations to all and good luck in your future science endeavors.
