SOUTH POINT — Harley George Millhouse, 69, of South Point passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010, at his residence. The Delaware, Ohio, native was born June 15, 1940, the son of the late Willard and Edith Gilmore Millhouse. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Carter Millhouse, whom he married Sept. 21, 1963.
Mr. Millhouse attended Kitts Hill School, was a millwright for the Dayton Malleable, and was a member of Mamre Baptist church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry, Phillip, Charles, Willard Jr., and Robert Millhouse; two sisters, Thelma Anderson and Roberta Forrest; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Pennington and Baylee Millhouse.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Mary and Donald Pennington of South Point; son and daughter-in-law: Paul and Gina Millhouse of South Point; three brothers, Carl Millhouse of Ironton, Clyde and Debbie Millhouse of Ironton and Don and Bonnie Millhouse of South Point; a sister, Dorothy Mullins of Ironton; six grandchildren and their spouses, Zane Millhouse of South Point, Joshua Pennington and fiancee Mallory of Frankfort, Ky., Kayla and Ben Harless, Justin Pennington and Jessica, Sarah Wertman Millhouse and Hayley Pennington, all of South Point; a great grandchild, Braylen Harless and a host of nieces and nephews and friends and one special niece, Dusty and Eric Best.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, with Brother Jack Pemberton and Pastor Mike Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Millhouse Cemetery.
