BOSQUE FARMS, N.M. — David L. Grove, 67, a resident of Bosque Farms since 1990, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010.
He was born in Forest Dale to Jacob and Gladys Grove. David was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School class of 1961. He enjoyed photography, traveling, camping and fishing and was retired from Armco Steel in Ashland, Ky. David was also a member of Valley Lutheran Church in Los Lunas.
David was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Grove and a brother, Stephen Grove.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Grove of Bosque Farms; mother, Gladys Grove of Ohio; sons, David Grove, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Kitts Hill and William Stewart of San Francisco, Calif.; daughters, Suzanne Mockley and husband, Michael of Bosque Farms and Celatha Grove of Bosque Farms; sister, Victoria Pollard and husband, Mike of Portsmouth; and sister-in-law, Gail Grove of Ashland, Ky. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Tiffany Spears and husband, Grover, Kelli Grove and Kelsey Grove; one very much-loved great-grandson, Grover David Spears, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
All services will be conducted Wednesday in the chapel of Riverside Funeral Home, 418 W. Reinken Ave., Belen, N.M., beginning with a viewing at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Vogler officiating. Burial will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grover Spears, Michael Mockley, Jake Spellmans, Lee Tietjen, Wayne Gustin and Jackie Leyba. In lieu of flowers, please contribute in David’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
