SOUTH POINT — Leona “Ferne” Kite Sutton, 94, of South Point, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010.
She was born Aug. 18, 1915. She was the oldest living member of Sunrise Church of the Nazarene, South Point. She was a member of Garden Clubs and Homemakers of South Point and Lawrence County.
She was preceded in death by husband, Russell “Bus” Kite and husband, Sterling Sutton.
She is survived by one sister, Rosalee Waugh; a son and daughter-in-law, Clayton and Janie Kite; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Charlie Sprouse, Donna and Rob Davidson and Dolores and Tom Gillenwater; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be noon today at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Malott officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-12 noon today at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.schneidergriffin.com.
