Federal grants workshop slated

ASHLAND, Ky. — ACTC is hosting a workshop May 17-21, entitled “Competing for Federal Grants.”  It is offered by The Grantsmanship Center at the ACTC Roberts Drive Campus.

The workshop is targeting municipalities, non-profits, faith-based organizations, schools, colleges/universities and others who may seek federal grants (including ARRA “recovery act” funds).

Class begins at 8:30 each morning and, except for Wednesday and Friday, concludes at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday evening sessions may go to 8 p.m. in small groups. Friday class will end by 1 p.m. Breaks will be included each morning and afternoon.

OUS hosting tuition waiver horse show

Ohio University Southern will host a Tuition Waiver Horse Show, which will be open to all current OUS students as well as students who plan to enroll this fall.

Students will compete for tuition waivers used only for EQU courses (Equine Studies) offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring quarters of 2010-2011 at Ohio University Southern Campus.

OUS will provide horses for those participating in each class. Personally-owned horses cannot be entered in the classes.

Tuition waivers will be given with each class for the first three placings.

Overall winners will also be rewarded with tuition waivers.

The entry fee is $4 if pre-registered for show by the May 12 deadline and $5 after May 12 and day of show
