Route 650 closed due to flooding

HANGING ROCK — State Route 650 at U.S. Route 52 and Hanging Rock in Lawrence County remains closed Tuesday morning due to flooding.

The following routes in the Ohio Department of Transportation’s District 9 region remain closed:

State Route 73 at the exit/entrance ramps to U.S. Route 52 in Scioto County;

State Route 239 at West Portsmouth in Scioto County;

Second Street Bridge at the western corporation limit of Portsmouth.

These closures are in effect until further notice, and motorists are reminded that crossing any route which has been closed is strictly prohibited.

They are also advised to exercise extreme caution when crossing any route which remains open but where standing water may be present.

State Route 220 in Pike County is open to traffic following its closure due to flooding.
