Song, dance and some comedy, too.
The annual St. Joseph High School Variety Show will be Friday and Saturday at the high school.
The annual event, a St. Joseph tradition for more than 30 years, is meant to showcase the talent of the student body. Nearly 60 students in grades 7-12 are involved in the production, either on stage or behind the scenes.
The theme this year is “It’s Going To Be A Good Night.” Teacher Maria Whaley said the talent runs the gamut of styles, from a Roaring 20s segment complete with The Charleston dance routine to a Three Stooges skit to an audience participation segment.
“We’re hoping a lot of people come out and enjoy the event,” Whaley said. “It’s light-hearted, it’s enjoyable. It celebrates the creativity and uniqueness of out students.”
Both the Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. The Saturday performance will follow a 6:30 p.m. dinner. The cost is $5 for the show. The dinner is $15 for adults and $10 for children.
