IRONTON — The First United Methodist Church of Ironton will hold its second annual Easter breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at its Fellowship Hall.
“It is free. Anybody from the community can come. You don’t have to come to church with us,” Dr. Wayne Young, pastor, said. “If you are out and about or at a sunrise service, you are welcome to have breakfast with us.”
On the menu are biscuits and gravy, juice, coffee, muffins and fruit salads.
The breakfast started last Easter as an outreach project.
“We had been to one of our conference meetings and they suggested the Methodist Church should try to be visible in the community,” Young said. “This was one of the activities to let the folks know we are here.”
Those attending will be eligible for gifts that will be given away at a later date.
